2008

Founded in New York

Two former insurance executives launched DirectPolicyLink with a mission to remove complexity from the insurance buying process. Our first office on Lexington Avenue had 5 employees and a very big vision: make insurance feel less like a burden and more like a benefit.

In our first year we served 400 clients across New York and New Jersey, maintaining a 100% claims satisfaction rate that set the tone for everything that followed.

2013

Digital Transformation

Recognising that clients wanted faster, more accessible service, we launched our online quote platform. Clients could now compare plans, submit documents, and communicate with advisors entirely online — an industry first for independent agencies at that scale.

The platform reduced quote turnaround time from 3 days to under 24 hours and was recognised by Insurance Technology Review as one of the most innovative client portals of the year.

2015

National Expansion

After serving over 10,000 clients in the Northeast, we secured our licenses across all 50 states, adding auto, business, health, and specialty lines to our portfolio. Our advisor team grew from 40 to over 120 in 18 months.

We also established our in-house claims support division, ensuring that every policyholder has a dedicated advocate during the claims process — not just a form to fill out.

Robert has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He co-founded DirectPolicyLink to solve the transparency problems he witnessed firsthand in traditional brokerage firms. He holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.

Diana oversees all client-facing operations, advisor training, and claims resolution. Previously VP of Operations at a national carrier, she brought best-practice claims management to the independent agency model. She is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute.
